Rooted — Faith-Based Social Platform

Rooted is a mobile-first social platform designed for authentic connection, reflection, and encouragement within faith-based communities. The app is built natively in SwiftUI for iOS 26 and newer, with a Progressive Web App (PWA) fallback for Android and earlier iOS devices. Focused entirely on mobile, Rooted blends calm visuals, intuitive interaction, and spiritual intentionality to foster real connection in a digital space.

Purpose & Vision

Rooted was created to re-imagine how faith-based communities connect digitally — less noise, more meaning. The goal is to provide a space where users can share prayers, join small groups, and encourage one another without distraction or pressure. Every design choice — from the gentle color palette to the minimal interface — was made to support peace, reflection, and belonging.

Process & Design Approach

The project began with user research on faith community interactions, followed by rapid prototyping in Figma. After usability testing, the experience was rebuilt in SwiftUI and PWA form, ensuring smooth onboarding, accessible typography, and an emotionally grounded user journey.
